Illustrator – Basic 3rd June
With Adobe Illustrator you can create illustrations quickly and easily and then experiment with different ideas without constant re-drawing. You can produce artwork completely within Illustrator or you can use scanned templates of your own hand-drawn designs.
InDesign – Novice to Intermediate 17th 18th June
Adobe InDesign is a robust and easy-to-use design and layout program. With it you can create documents of many types, from single-page advertisements and flyers, to complex multi-page colour publications. This course is suitable for those who are responsible for creating material including newsletters, brochures, and flyers. At the end of this course you will be able to confidently create well-structured documents in a timely fashion.
Photoshop – Advanced 14th June
Photoshop CS3 Advanced is a continuation of our Photoshop course series.
It broadens the range of skills & knowledge needed for high-end business & commercial graphic design usage.
In this 1-day course, participants will learn how to: further customize Photoshop & use Presets, use Fill layers – solid, gradient & pattern. They will explore various ways to extract an object from an image using a mask. Theyll experiment with vector paths by creating vector masks & converting type into editable shapes. They will also apply custom brushes, warping & filters / Smart Filters along with other creative image effects as well as produce images for video.
Photoshop – Novice to Intermediate 31st May 1st June
Photoshop CS3 Novice to Intermediate is the first in our Photoshop course series.
It provides instruction on how to create professional-looking images for both print & the Web.
In this 2-day course, participants will: identify the components of the Photoshop environment; learn the difference between raster/vector graphics & different image modes; & utilise Adobe Bridge. They will explore proper methods for selecting image areas, & then how to modify & manipulate selections. Theyll add text, modify the text, & apply effects that will incorporate it into the artwork. Theyll also learn how to use layers & layer effects. They will explore various techniques for adjusting the quality of an image, cropping, straightening & making image adjustment commands, then will Automate repetitive tasks with Actions.
Photoshop for the Web/Multimedia 24th May and 16th June
Photoshop for the Web/ Multimedia is a continuation of our Photoshop course series
It focuses on specific training needed to create & manage images for the Web and Multimedia presentations such as MS PowerPoint, Apple Keynote, OpenOffice Impress, etc.
In this 1-day course, participants will: learn how to optimise images for web/screen with/without transparency & matting; explore methods for slicing and exporting images; use techniques to automate Web task and explore how to create basic 2D web animations.
